Butler Singles has undergone quite a few changes in the last month or so. Almost all of these chages were due to requests from our guests.
Here is a short list of changes:
- Moved from Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church to The Meridian Vets Club.
- Moved from Saturdays to Fridays. This was due to our new venue not being able to fulfill all of the Saturdays we requested.
- We now allow and promote our dances to singles as well as couples.
- We now permit BYOB.
- Admission was raised to $8 from $7 to offset the higher cost of the new venue.
- Chips are still .50 per bag, but soft drinks, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will all be FREE.
- Rita Van Tine has been "promoted" to President, while Brian Wieczorek has stepped down and accepted the position of Vice President.
I am sure all of these changes will make a massive improvement over our old style of doing things. I am confident our numbers will grow now that we allow alcohol and couples to attend as well.
Here is a list of things that are staying the same:
- Our DJs. We will continue to use the same DJs as we have in years past. We like our DJs and we know you do too. We may add a few new ones to the mix though.
- Dances will continue to be 2 per month, even in the summer months.
- We will continue to run the dances from 8 until Midnight.
- We will still have a FREE admission drawing and 50/50.
- We will still have the same friendly faces you've come to know attending our dances, but we'll have a lot more of those faces to get to know!
The Meridian Vets Club is located t 125 Vets Club Rd Butler PA 16001. You can get directions from here: Google Maps
